Newborn Studio Session | Baby Ava
I often get asked what my favorite thing to photograph is. This is a hard question for me to answer. Several factors come in to play, depending on when and where I am asked the question. What’s my mood? What’s on my mind? What do I have coming up? You get the idea. :)
I will say that each type of session has a special place in my heart. For instance, newborn sessions. Getting to hold the babies, feed them, snuggle them, smell them (don’t you judge me!), and celebrate with the parents the absolute miracle of this little one all combine to make for a heart-squeezing experience that will keep me coming back for more. To say that I get to do this for a living…as my job…is just a huge blessing.
When Baby Ava’s sweet family arrived with her to my studio in Canton, I was smitten with the whole family! We chatted. We cooed and fawned over Ava. We joked a bit and they told me how dad was officially christened into fatherhood with a good ole poop-splosion that morning. LOL! Oh, the joys of being a parent!
We also took the time to talk about what the parents were hoping to get from their session: a pic of Ava’s eyes open, her in props, the family together, dad without a shirt holding Ava, etc. Having these chats allowed me to plan our time together, with the hopes of making those ideal captures possible. While I cannot guarantee that a specific pose/capture will happen, I can guarantee to try my best to obtain it.
Thankfully, Ava was perfectly content to allow us to capture their most hoped for images, and she even allowed me to get creative with mom and dad. Not too sleepy and not too grumpy, Ava was the perfect little doll and her gallery is absolutely amazing. I love every single moment I had with Ava and her parents, and will cherish our time together always.
As always, if you feel I would be a good fit for you and your family, let’s connect today!
