Surprise Proposal Session | Brandon + Courtney

While I mostly focus on maternity, newborn, and baby photography, I love when I get the request for help capturing a surprise proposal! So, when Brandon contacted me about capturing his proposal to Courtney, I just had to say yes. I had the perfect spot and couldn’t wait to see everything go down!

When Brandon reached out, we went over all of the important details (date, time, pricing), and then I checked in with one of my favorite locations to rent for our session. This location has many different setups where you can use one or all for your photography needs. This beautiful venue had an opening on our date and time! Eureka! Booked and paid for, we were all set.

Brandon deleted all of our texting chatter just in case she checked his messages. Ok…who else loves being involved in a surprise of this magnitude? Just me? LOL! We also referred to our session as a couple’s photography session…just in case. Oh boy was I excited!

When we arrived, I was just struck by how precious this couple is. So sweet and loving towards each other…and gorgeous! As we stood at the top of our venue and looked around, they both commented on how much they loved the pond and dock…which is when I decided that was where the big question would be popped!

We made our way around the venue at the different stops, and finally got to the dock. I give him the nod, he drops to his knee, and pops the question. She was completely surprised AND she said Yes!

What a great way to spend my time, celebrating the upcoming marriage of this wonderful couple in a beautiful setting. The joy, elation, and love they had could easily be felt and I am so thankful to witness this moment. Thank you for choosing me to freeze this moment.
