Newborn Session | Baby Corben

One of the things folks who are close to me know is that we struggled with getting pregnant. In fact, we never had a successful pregnancy. Going through infertility treatments, IUI, IVF…all of the meds, the mental struggle, and the heartbreak really took its toll on me and my husband. We finally decided to foster and boy did our lives change overnight! Our first placement, a boy and a girl, became our loves and we ended up adopting them. Our life has truly been enriched and made better because of these two humans!

So, it should come as no surprise that when I met Brianna and heard her story of struggle, I felt an instant connection. Watching her and her husband walk the path of adoption, doing the paperwork, making all of the necessary appointments, and just waiting for someone to pick them was exciting. Finally, that phone call came! They were picked! Birth mom saw them, their bio, their video and knew they were the perfect match for the baby she still carried inside. Plans were made. And then the phone call came that baby was about to make his entrance earth-side, and they hit the road to be present for his arrival.

When he arrived, it was love at first sight. I mean, could you blame them?!? That little squishy face! The smile. Their family is finally complete! Of course we just had to get a newborn photography session in at my photography studio in Canton, GA to help celebrate and document this little one’s journey into his forever family…and I could not be more joyful at having been chosen to document this special occasion. Truly an honor!
