Newborn Studio Session | Baby Arabella
Hello, lovely! Being a newborn photographer is such a rewarding challenge. My studio in Canton, GA allows me to do what I do with confidence. With that said, each newborn studio session is unique. I can employ the same techniques, follow the same steps, and have everything set up the same; however, each baby is a unique individual and has different likes and dislikes, different comfort levels with temperature and positioning, and reacts differently to noises and their surroundings.
When the Arabella and family arrives, I am instantly drawn to how gorgeous mom is. While not a girly girl (her words), she is positively glowing and I say a quick prayer that she will be open to me putting her in a dress…and she is!! Hooray! My one regret (and I told her this later) is not getting a full body image of her in this dress with her combat boots on. LOL! She totally rocked the look!
Little miss’s dad was just sweet as can be, and totally in love with his new baby girl! I get him into position, put her in his arms, and he says, “Oh, I do this all the time. No problem.” Y’all. My heart burst with joy when he said that!
For this session, we did only one prop. Our time was super short (45 minutes), so our main focus was ensuring family pictures were captured at the very least. With 20 minutes left in the session, we had time for Arabella to be placed in a prop that I had set up prior to the start of our session. Arabella was completely unbothered by all of our movement and chatter, as she was busy getting her beauty sleep. <3 A few captures of her with and without the little bear stuffy, a quick switch to a lace bonnet, and her session was a wrap.
Arabella is such a laid back baby. And the noises she makes while sleeping!!! We just laughed, wondering what she was dreaming about. She is the perfect little package, and I am so thankful I was chosen to help celebrate her arrival by capturing her newborn pictures!
Oh! and one more thing, I LOVE surprising my newborn clients with a composite made especially for them. Each one is unique. I love creating images that speak to that specific family and typically do not repeat composites unless I am asked to do so. It’s so much fun for me and I am always anxiously awaiting the family’s reaction. This family loved their gallery and were so thankful we were able to work things out. What a blessing to know baby Arabella and her mom and dad!
