Who Am I? Getting to know the person behind the camera

Who am I? Who is this person behind the camera? I am so glad you asked!

I am many titles to many different people. Here are just a few:

  • Daughter

  • Wife

  • Mother

  • Friend

  • Administrative Assistant

  • Photographer

  • Bottle Baby Kitten Foster (ok, you know we all just squealed a little…even if only internally)

  • Jesus Follower

My faith is a big part of who I am…of what makes me, well, me! I tend to be quick to help, and love to love on my family, friends, and neighbors.

I love my family. They are my number one priority. I have been married for over 20 years now (1997), and have two children: one boy and one girl. My daughter has grown and left the nest, but my son still lives at home. I love to spend time with my family, even if it’s just sitting next to them watching a movie. I have never been a huge gift giver, as I feel having experiences together means so much more than a $5 candle.

Animals. I love them all, more so if they are little babies! I just want to squeeze them, rub them, and keep them all! We do have two dogs and four cats (don’t judge me, LOL!), and then however many bottle baby kittens I have on any given day (which is three as of this blog post).

I love doing anything crafty: drawing, photography (obviously!), painting, making something out of nothing. I LOVE to try new things, too! If you ever want to take a crafty class, and need a trusty sidekick, I’m your girl!

I am also an avid reader. I love sweet romances (let’s keep it to PG-13 or under though), some dystopian, and contemporary. Not really a sci-fi reader…I just get hung up on the details trying to envision everything. LOL! It is not uncommon for me to read and review a book in exchange for receiving the book for free. You scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours?

I have loved pictures for as long as I can remember. The beauty and joy that can be captured by the photographer amazed me. I was gifted a camera in my early twenties and things just progressed from there. I opened my in home studio officially in 2018, and have been capturing moments since. Emotion and connection are what I strive to capture in all of my family and maternity pictures; and, of course, the little details that make up newborn babies are on my list of must haves in a newborn session.

Thank you so much for swinging by and getting to know me! I hope to get to know you very soon!!
