It’s been awhile, but the last blog post we saw Kristy’s maternity session. Since then, I have had the absolute pleasure of doing their Fresh 48 session, Newborn session AND a family session! To say that I have loved being a part of this family’s history is putting it mildly. So, let’s fast forward to baby Axel’s arrival!

I arrive at the hospital and this family welcome’s me with open arms. They were so proud to present their newest baby boy! “Do you want to hold him?” Um, yes. Yes, I do! We got to marvel at his sweet little face, the tiny fingers and tiny toes. Documenting everything from the room to room number plate and nurses/doctor names and beyond. What a miracle this little blessing is!

Then a week later we meet at the studio to complete a newborn session. How he had grown already in just that week! We captured Axel in a cute fox outfit (oh my word!), naked and everything in between. We were also able to capture him with his parents and each parent individually. Walking through this time together, and seeing just how much they love this boy, was amazing. Dad even had to walk away with tears in his eyes at one point. sniff

This was all such a blessing, but then we gather again to capture some full family pictures. The chaos, laughter, patience and love I saw with this family just makes my heart hurt with love and joy. The dad when he saw me, “What? No charcuterie board today?” LOL! Nope…you have to come to the studio for that one! Oh to be a part of their story and be a positive experience for them all!! Goodness!
